Palo Alto, CA — GrowthPoint is excited to announce another successfully closed transaction – today VMware acquired the assets of our client Continuent. The Continuent team joins VMware’s Hybrid Cloud Business Unit.

“Continuent offers VMware and its customers the ability to deliver the next logical step in creating enterprise class resilience for SQL and NoSQL databases that operate in public, private and hybrid cloud computing environments. They also provide the opportunity for VMware to integrate Continuent’s technology into VMware vCloud Air hybrid cloud service as well as a way to provide transaction database replication to Hadoop environments for near real-time analytics and large transaction data sets. We are thrilled that this talented team and its sophisticated and powerful software has been recognized by the leader in Enterprise Cloud Computing,” remarked GrowthPoint’s Managing Director Mike Shepherd.
