Bio
Alex joined GrowthPoint Technology Partners as an analyst in 2013. In 2022, he was promoted to Managing Director to advise founders, boards, and executive teams on M&A, financing and growth strategies. He has closed transactions across North America, Europe, Africa, Australia and New Zealand with strategic acquirers and investors including Accenture, AKKR, AMD, EverCommerce, Komatsu, Microsoft, Sandvik and TA Associates. Alex leads GrowthPoint’s activity in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to GrowthPoint, Alex co-founded FanTravel.com, a group booking travel platform, part of TUI Travel PLC. Earlier in his career, he worked at Asthmatx, a medical device company acquired by Boston Scientific, and Acuity Ventures, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm focused on digital media technologies.
Alex attended Stanford University, where he played quarterback and was a member of the football team that won the 2011 Orange Bowl. Alex graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, and Society in 2010 and a Master’s degree in Media Studies in 2011. After Stanford, he spent one season playing football for L’Hospitalet Pioners in Barcelona, winning a Spanish National Championship.
