GrowthPoint Technology Partners is proud to announce the promotion of three of our staff members effective July 1, 2013.

Andrew Patton, previously Vice President, has been promoted to Director. Andrew joined us nearly five years ago after completing his MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to that, he earned a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton, which lead him to work as an engineer for The Boeing Company. Leaving the aerospace industry was a major departure for Andrew, but we convinced him of the long-term vision we have for GrowthPoint to be the leading technology M&A firm with a global footprint. He has steadily progressed within the firm, both in terms of client management but also in helping drive firm specific initiatives and in showing leadership as we build the infrastructure to grow more rapidly. Andrew has a broad portfolio exposure, working on transactions across the firm involving semi cap equipment, payments, healthcare, energy technologies and storage, along with many others. Outside of the office, he continues to indulge in his hobby of flying.

Nick DeRose, previously an Associate, has been promoted to Vice President. Nick joined GrowthPoint almost two years ago from NetApp, where he was an Alliance Manager who lead strategic initiatives across different business units. Prior to his career at NetApp, Nick was involved in information technology services at Brocade Communications and ran global IT for HPL Technologies. He graduated from California Polytech University San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Management Information Systems. As part of the team at the GrowthPoint Technology Partners, Nick has played significant roles in recent transactions and has become instrumental to a number of our industry verticals, particularly in the infrastructure software and cloud space, where we expect activity to remain robust.

Mike Kim, previously Senior Analyst, has been promoted to Associate. Mike joined GrowthPoint over two years ago as an analyst, leaving RCM Capital Management. He has previous experience working for other investment groups specializing in information technology and strategic planning. He is a graduate from the University of Notre Dame with a Degree in History and a Minor in Technology, Business, and Society. At GrowthPoint, Mike has been a key contributor on many transactions we have completed over his time with us. We are pleased to have Mike as our new associate.

We are thrilled to have each of these members grow in our company and congratulate them on their promotions.
