This morning I woke up with the following thoughts going through my head; they are definitely worth sharing!
As many of you know I have the privilege of living on and working from a large beautiful property that Valda, my late wife, and I have spent the past thirty five years developing; but that is another story all on its own.
About two years ago, while harvesting carrots from the vegetable garden, I left a few that where to small. I then went away on a business trip and when I returned I noticed that there where eight strange looking ‘weeds’ that where busy coming into flower; curiosity, as always, got the better of me. I scratched around the roots and to my amazement I found that they where carrots. I had never seen a carrot plant fulfilling itself before.
I let them continue doing what they where meant to do. The flowers, pretty white lacy ones, started to go to seed; I let them dry and harvested the seed. To my amazement new flowers formed every time I cut the dried ones off and I harvested more and more seed. To cut a long story short I ended up with a one litre plastic tub full of carrot seed, (from only eight carrots) I would have needed to convert my entire property to a veggie garden if I wanted to plant them all. It would have been interesting to work out the compound interest that God gave me on my original investment.
Needless to say we have never needed to buy carrot seed again.
There is no excuse for poverty, other than stupidity and ignorance, but that’s not the point either.
Nature; God; whatever, has a natural system that creates abundance! Abundance worked creates affluence and the cycle goes on; all we have to do is open our eyes; become aware and all will be relieved! The only thing that is required of us in order to share in the abundance is work the already proven system. We can have all the wealth and quality of life we desire if we are smart enough to take the trouble to study the manual in which we have the privilege of living.
Now back to the seeds; We still, and will always, have an abundance of carrots; so do most of our neighbours; my staff that come from other parts of Africa have all sent seed home; some seed even became bird food and helped feed some of the over two hundred different species of birds we have marked off in the bird book; and the cycle keeps expanding….
So the first principle is Natures abundance will always provide, all that is required of us is to work with it and apply some uncommon sense we naturally, exponentially, share in the affluence.
What we do with our ‘seeds’ can change everything!
One carrot seed left to fulfill itself, has the intelligence and potential to expand its own possibilities: It is capable of feeding every person on earth, but intelligence and potential is only a part of the story.
What would happen if the seed were not harvested? Most would never grow; some would have become birdseed; most would simple dry out in the sun and only a very small percentage would ever become carrots.
What would happen if the harvested seeds where just left to stay in the tub; sown into infertile soil; given to people who were to lazy or too preoccupied to plant them or added them all into a birdseed mix?
What we do with our ‘seeds’ impacts on everything!
Seeds are principles of creation; principles must be properly worked; they must always be planted in a receptive, fertile environment, there they must be nurtured and encouraged to fulfill themselves.
I have always been told I must not judge, that’s Gods job, but if I was entrusted with the seeds surely I have the responsibility to make sure that they are given the best possible chance to make their useful contribution to creation. I must judge, I must apply my mind discerningly to ensure the best possible outcome for the responsibility with which I have been entrusted. If I have any respect for the process of creation I have a moral obligation to ensure, to the best of my ability, that the natural cycle of abundance is fulfilled.
How about your seeds?
Ideas are seeds of creation; Thoughts are the energy of creation; Talents are tools of creation, as are skills. Humans are Beings that create by default. What are you doing with your ‘seeds’, how are you honouring your responsibilities?
I wish you the courage to be your greatest possibilities.
Love and Light.
David Pickard Wyllie.
