Focusing My Lens
We all know that we have unlimited latent potential; the question is: “Why is it latent?”
The first part of the answer is actually very simple: Most people have very little idea about who they would like to become; what would make that person feel fulfilled and the requirements for sustaining the possibilities. Current potential is all that is required to be who we have already accepted as our truth.
Secondly; there is no wasted energy in the natural system; God, the Universe, only makes potential available as and when it is required and we have proven that we are willing and able to accept the responsibility that comes with the potential.
In my more that forty years as a developer of educational programs, a teacher of metaphysics and a Life coach I have realised that both the social and schooling systems tends to stifle if not kill creative imagination, and develop people’s ability to focus most of their attention on what is wrong with everything and things to be afraid of. What we give our attention to grows and eventually becomes our perception of reality.
When I was in my early to mid twenties I was a professional photographer and still am actively very involved expressing much of my artistic ability though the lens of a camera.
I have a special interest in macro photography and often work with lenses that only give me millimetres of selective focus. The result is that I can totally change what I am looking at and the work I produce with a very slight adjustment of my lens or the slightest sway of my body while the camera is still in ‘reality’ looking in at the same place. The result is that I have created many amazing works of art simply by making a minute adjustment in my point of view or to be more accurate in my point of focus.
This very principle is the essence of my teaching.
In an infinite Universe we always have infinite possibilities: It is not the overall picture that is important but our fine adjustment in the point of focus. What we focus on we feed with our consciousness, and because our thoughts are (by default) creative energy, we manifest them as our reality. We can literally change every aspect of our lives by changing our point of focus from our current perception of reality to any point in our future that we can sincerely embrace as possible.
