PLANNING TO DIE, HOPING TO LIVE
During our visit to Mauritius I was reminded of something I learned many years ago.
Uncommon sense: Business before Pleasure
Get the business out of the way and then plan and work towards the most amazing future we can imagine … and as our imagination improves with use we keep up-grading the possibilities of life in our consciousness.
To keep things simple we need to divide life into two parts the business of life and the affairs of the heart.
Things change, circumstances change , people change goals and priorities change … this is natural, everything in the Universe is in a constant state of change, but we have been socially conditioned to resist and often fear change. Generally we feel safe with the same old same old even when we are drowning in perceived obligations and killing ourselves with boredom, We tend to fear the unknown so we plan to keep the future as close to the present as we can. Very few people have the courage and imagination to see possibilities that are greater than the current one.
Long before I ever got married I was having a drink with an old Jewish lawyer when he gave me this advice; “Plan your divorce or separation while you are friends and care about each other and have nothing to fight over, (a good pre-nuptial agreement) then get on with making your relationship as amazing as possible. Remember things are going to change!
Plan your relationship with the receiver of revenue as if you are wealthy even before the wealth comes; Plan what you will do if you decide to dissolve your business before it becomes successful and greed sets in.
One day you will die, so make a will. This is not being negative it is simply taking care of business to leave you free to get on with the affairs of the heart and live every moment knowing that the business has been taken care of, so you no longer need to live in the fear of ‘What If’.
When you find yourself diminished by sickness and disaster you need all the energy you can muster to focus on what you want. Having to divert your energy onto making plans for the worst while hoping for the best is dancing with life one step forward one step back. You go nowhere and inevitably your energy gets depleted and you wonder why your fears become your reality.
Life is about choices; are your thoughts feeding your fears or your hopes? It is about manifesting your consciousness, get your priorities in order, focus on what you want and make your plans accordingly.
There are still a few seats available on the Key workshop on the 29th of October. Book your place and review your thinking. The quality of Your Life depends on it!
