David Pickard Wyllie – August 2016

While tiding up some old papers I came across this thank you letter from Leon Swart of MENSA. It brought back some wonderful memories.

I had trained Leon and he asked me if I would like to share some of my ideas with, purportedly,  a group of the most intelligent people in the country;  all with IQ,s over one hundred and forty.  I thought that would be fun so I said yes; Leon said I would need to do a lot of preparation because these people were very smart and would delight in tearing my ideas apart but he thought I would be up to the challenge.

As usual I ignored the recommendation and prepared nothing at all, not even an opening statement, I did what I do best I followed my intuition and just let the hour unfold naturally. Well the hour was brilliant, but what was even more amazing was that questions kept pouring in and eventually the management of Old Eds, the venue, had to ask us to please leave at 00.30 in the morning.

Most professional speakers prepare and rehearse until they have a beautifully prepared theatrical presentation and never deviate.  I was taught to do this years ago while working in the training division on one of the world’s first multi-level marketing companies. Everything was scripted, choreographed and rehearsed. So why did I change my approach?

One evening I was feeling really off, I felt as if I had lost the plot so instead of doing what was expected I just started to speak from my heart. As I was deviating from the script the President walked in at the back of the room. He just stood there dumfounded, and a thought went through my head: “Tonight I get fired!”  Fired …. what the hell, then let’s go out with a bang! And in that moment a really strange thing happened!

Something seemed to take over my faculties of reason and speech and I heard myself saying thing that I knew I didn’t know. It was as if my soul was talking to the souls of others in the audience and I was only a bystander. To cut a very long story short, I got a standing ovation and I didn’t get fired.

That night I realised that I had a gift; I had the ability to tap into something I didn’t yet understand and communicate at a level beyond consciousness; I realised that there were more things going on than people have the knowledge to understand and that my real challenge as a speaker/teacher was to get out of my way and let my greater self do the work. We all have buried somewhere deep inside of us a greater being that is beyond our ability to imagine. This being we need to learn to trust, allowing it to take us fearlessly to places that force us to discover who we really are and get a glimpse of the possibilities that come with that acceptance.

A couple of years ago, someone asked me who I considered to be my greatest competition; I smiled, I am not in competition with anyone. I live in a creative world, not a competitive one. My life’s work is teaching people how to correctly use their thought energy in the most energy efficient way to create, not compete. In a competitive world there are always winners and losers but as we realign our thinking, embrace the essence of alchemy, we become powerful creators and evolve into a world of natural abundance where there is always more than we will ever need.

My job is simple; I help my clients make their dreams and goals a reality by redirecting what they do with their thoughts. When they do this I have succeeded.  I challenge convention, inspire creativity and non-conformity, and have an uncanny ability to get people to start to reach for their greatest possibilities and hone in on their uniqueness.

I have forty plus years in the field and hundreds of testimonials from all over the world to attest to my statements. Occasionally I am privileged to work with a business owner who wants to do more than just make money; someone who is smart enough to realise that the only real difference between their company and the others in their field is the quality of their leadership that filters down through their team.

If you would like to lead your team towards the achievement their greatest possibilities I am offering an hour of my time for free (excluding travel) to any company, charity or club. The gift of giving is a vital part of alchemy, give me a call and let’s see what I can do for you and  your team!
